A battery (CR2032) is already installed in the product and will last up to 12 months.
It is also easy to replace the battery when needed.
1. Lide the opening slider on the back and open the shells.
2. Replace the battery with a new CR2032 and place it positive side up (text facing up).

Neat, great value, easy to setup
I've been using Tile Pro trackers (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09B2WG9X9/) for the last 18 months and, with a new iPad and iPhone in the family thought it was time to try the Apple equivalent system. Setup was very straightforward, pairing the tag to my iPad took about 2 minutes and would have been faster had I bothered to read the enclosed, well-written and comprehensive, UTag manual. The tags are small and neat, better than the Tile equivalent because of the included 'pin' connection that allows the tag to be attached semi-permanently to bags, jackets or whatever. The UTag's are shipped with a magnet that allows these pins to be removed easily when needed. And, because they're easy to lose, some spare pins (8 in total). And, while we're at it, some spare CR2032 batteries (though only two of these for the four tags which seemed a little puzzling). These UTags are marginally smaller than the Tile trackers, but a little better looking (as though that matters). They are also very aggressively priced, with four UTags for a sniff under £40 as opposed to two Tile Pro's for about £50. When compared to the Apple equivalent product they are, unsurprisingly, much less expensive. These should really be shipped with small split-rings to attach them to a key fob. It's almost certain that at least some of them would be used for the car keys ("Where are the car keys?" ... how many times have you heard that?) and, without a small additional split-ring, they are a little tricky to attach to a key fob and 'hang' at an odd angle. Finally, it's worth emphasising that these are restricted to the Apple Fine My network, so you'll need to use iPhone's and/or iPad's for them to be useful. And they WILL be very useful ...
