The size of this is perfect for our 10 kg cocker spaniel. I read in some of the reviews that people thought the padding was a bit thin, so I ordered a baby’s flat pillow (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B079WCNBYX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) 60x40cm which fits it perfectly. I have put the pillow under the inner of this, so she now has the warmth from the foil reflecting her own body heat back, and enough padding for her to feel very comfortable. The upper fabric is cosy and inviting. Hopefully this will mean she will settle nicely when we take her to pubs and cafés, because she is a little princess (lol) and finds it hard to settle unless she can get comfortable. It is now a bit thick to roll up into the plastic carry bag that came with it, but I might find a sleeping bag compression sack for it to go in.

    All the cats seem to love it. I'm not 100% sure if it self heats, but it does seem to absorb some of the heat and it's quite comfortable.

    While it was on the pricey side, it was worth the cost, because it also seems to be quite durable. I would recommend this product for anyone with a cat or small dog, but not a medium dog or bigger.
