I am genuinely amazed you can get so much for so little! For the price I was expecting something incredibly basic but this has all the features I need and one I didn’t know I did.
It doesn’t mention it in the listing but when you fit the portafilter cradle the machine swaps to timed grind mode. Inserting the portafilter starts the grind and if you manage to dislodge the portafilter it pauses and restarts at the same point once you’ve relocated it.
Grind quantity remains consistent (to the accuracy of my scales!) between uses provided you use the bellows to push the last of the ground beans through.
I haven’t experienced any problems with static and for what use it for (espresso) the controls are intuitive.
My only complaint is it could grind a little finer. My espresso machine seems to like a very fine grind, setting ‘1’ produces a good tasting espresso but the crema is a little thin; if it went down another two steps I think that would be perfect.
I’m sure there are far superior grinders out there but they aren’t £80!
