Great shredder, I've attempted to shed paper with much cheaper and poor quality shredders and they burn out soo easily yet this one just keeps going eating all the paper/card you feed it.
After you've given it 3x the amount you probably should have yes it might be a bit hot, but it's just keeps chewing away, It runs for a very long time before finally you might decide to let it cool down, being the beast that it is and how much you begin to love how well it works, you'll likely take the precautionary measure to let it rest as I did the first time it chewed up boxes of paper and you'll probably let it cool down while you grab a brew. For the amount of time it saves and how well the resulting shredded paper comes out with the lack of concern of it getting stuck in it's teeth I would say it is value for money, and wouldn't hesitate to buy again if i needed to.

Ripping paper up isn’t good enough as it is easy for a thief to put the pieces back together again, but shredding the documents with the PS609 paper shredder will cut them into tiny 10x4mm pieces.
The Duronic PS609 automatic paper shredder is ideal if you have large amounts of paper to shred. It can shred paper in two ways: manually 6-9 sheets can be fed into the front slot and the automatic blades will shred the paper. This front slot can also shred one bank card at a time.
Alternatively, this electric shredder also has an automatic paper tray in which you can place up to 100 sheets of paper; simply insert the pile of paper switch it on and the machine will then automatically feed itself, shredding away until the pile has gone. This way is ideal if you don't have the time to stand and feed the machine yourself bit-by-bit.

Extra Large 17-Litre Bin
The PS609 has an extra large 17 litre bin so that the paper shredder can be used daily without having to be empty it after each use.
To check when it is getting full simply open the bin slightly to check or look through the transparent window.

Power & Run Time
Built with a steady 400W motor, this paper shredder will power through tasks with ease.
The run times for this shredder are:
Manual feed: 3 minutes on / 40 minutes off
Auto-feed tray: 10 minutes on / 40 minutes off
After the shredder has been working for it's stated run time, it will automatically switch itself off to rest. This automatic turn off function is a safety feature to preserve the motor and prevent it from overheating.
Forward and Reverse Functions
Like all paper shredders, this model has an on/off power switch, forwards and backwards function (to help in the event of a paper jam).
It has an opening of 22cm which is suited for A4 paper. It also has an LED power light to indicate when the machine is ready to use.

Duronic PS391
The Duronic PS391 micro shredder works really well and shreds papers so it's impossible to put the pieces together. You can securely shred documents that have your personal details on. Instructions for the machine is to shred for 2 minutes and leave it to rest for 30 before shredding again. I honestly have gone passed 2 minutes because 2 mins of shredding three sheets of paper is not long enough for me and I get very impatient. But it is better to follow the guidelines. The shredder is small in size so if needs be it can be stored away under my bed or on a shelf so that it is out of sight. Also, it's worth noting which shredder you are buying because some of the reviews is for another Duronic shredder that does not shred to micro size but to a bigger size. I had to sift through the reviews to find reviews for the Duronic PS391 that I found satisfactory for me.
