Product description
1kg Jesmonite AC100 Liquid
2.5kg Jesmonite AC100 Powder
Mix Ratio 2.5 parts AC100 Powders to 1 Part AC100 Liquids, by weight. (2.5 : 1)
Jesmonite is a versatile range of water-based, solvent free composite materials ideally suited to the creation of decorative mouldings and glass reinforced laminates. These materials have a range of unique properties, which contribute to strength, durability, non-toxicity, and the ability to comply with many of the necessary test requirements of the construction industry, specifically those in regard to fire performance and impact resistance.
Jesmonite AC100 is an Acrylic Composite material supplied in two parts, a powder and a liquid. It is suitable for both decorative castings and glass reinforced laminates, and can be pigmented using the Jesmonite range of water-based pigments. It is also possible to add a range of decorative and functional fillers in order to achieve a wider range of effects and to meet a broader spectrum of specifications.
Jesmonite AC100 can be used both internally and externally, although external use requires the application of a suitable sealer or external paint system for long-term exposure. It is fire-resistant, having achieved a Class '0' fire rating under UK Building Regulations BS476 (Parts 6&7). Due to its solvent free formulation, AC100 can be cast without damage to rubber moulding compounds, and without limitation to scale. It is also dimensionally stable due to low exothermic reaction, and produces a small amount of expansion on set (1mm/ linear metre).
AC100 is supplied in separate containers of liquid and powder, and mix ratios are variable to allow for both decorative and functional fillers. Normal casting and laminating requires a mix ratio of 2.5 parts AC100 Powders to 1 Part AC100 Liquids, by weight.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 December 2024I’m in love with jesmonite! I have started to create candle jars, trinket dishes and candle holders. I love the material, is so light and durable, also smooth to touch and I like the outcome! I wish I was better to avoided all the little bubbles but with practice I will get better! It dries very quickly and sometimes too quickly!! Super easy to use!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 October 2022Very happy with this product! Use a pocket electronic scale to weigh out the liquid and powder base (5g powder for every 2g liquid). Stir until smooth (use a broad lolly stick for best results). Add mica powder or Jesmonite pigment, mix well then pour into the mould. It takes five minutes and can be demoulded just a few hours later. The result is incredibly smooth and feels cool to the touch, a little like marble (there are other versions of Jesmonite that is more marble-like, but this is the A100 version).
Brilliant!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 July 2019A wonderful plaster resin, that feels great to touch when set. It has a lovely flexibility in how you can use it. Embedding, layering, cold casting, colour and stain. It does have issues with bubbles, but with care, brushing your molds with it first and I'm sure with degassing techniques you can get rid of most issued. Thankfully you can mix alittle to act as a great moddl filler too, adheres well to it self for repairs too. Sets quickly and gains strength over the next 24 hours. It's also non toxic, so it's more art friendly than plastic resin. Would love to play with the other variations and additives.
